Summary

Two Story Glass Office Building with 10,000-sf per floor.

Description

The centralized Lobby and stairway configuration provides two separate means of egress while maximizing the exterior perimeter with continuous windows. The open office space on the second floor with system furniture receives natural daylighting from the continuous ribbon windows. Oak windowsills are continuous with vertical window shades.

Tenant spaces are individually and environmentally controlled providing simultaneous heating and air conditioning throughout the building. The US Census Bureau occupies the second floor with a central telecommunications room with separate A/C and UPS Systems. First floor medical office includes Antietam Health Services Medical Laboratory and a Beltone Hearing Center.

The Building designed with a rigid steel frame to support a glass curtain wall system with horizontal and vertical silicone joints. Reflective blue glazing captured entirely without exterior mullions and complemented with Alpolic Aluminum Panels finished in a black granite shiny appearance. The curtain wall system extends from the building floor slab to 36” above the roof to screen mechanical rooftop equipment.

Interior space organized around a Central Lobby core with enclosed stairs on two sides of the Lobby. A second floor Lobby is open to the first floor with two-story granite and a glass railing system. Public toilets finished in porcelain ceramic tile with granite countertops provided in each floor.
