Maryland Correctional Institution - Training Center

Summary

Bushey Feight Morin Architects, under contract to the Maryland Department of General Services and working with The Maryland Department of Safety Corrections, is administrating and designing a major expansion and renovation to the Maryland Correctional Training Center in Hagerstown Maryland. The project consists of adding three new buildings and an emergency Sally Port and renovating two existing building and the site security. The approximate budget for the project is 30 million dollars. The total square footage for the project is approximately 53,000-sf. The new buildings being added are, Detention unit, Medical unit, and a Commissary. The buildings being renovated are two metal buildings serving as minimum level security detention units, one being modified into a Brush and Carton Manufacturing Facility and the other transforming into an office/classroom facility.
