The facility houses departmental operations for Nursing, Radiography and Health Sciences, in addition to, Continuing Education, Food Services, Reprographics, Purchasing, Campus Mail Operations, Applied Arts, HVAC Technology and Network Administration.

There are dedicated spaces for computer labs, conference center, and general classrooms, including an auditorium style classroom.

Description

Generous sized corridors intersect at a centrally located atrium flooded with natural light via clerestory windows. This atrium serves as a gathering spot for students between classes, as well as more formal functions. There are three (3) exterior plazas for further student interaction, located at the Health Sciences entrance, Dining entrance, and Conference center. These exterior spaces allow for informal interaction or a more structured learning experience.

The goal of the building design was to provide a visual anchor as students and visitors enter the campus. This achieved by essentially creating a façade to the building with higher parapets.

Since the new façade is connected to the existing structure in certain locations, snow banking on the existing building structure is avoided by significantly increasing the height of the southeastern corner of the façade. The Career Programs Building will provide the visual anchor desired by the College and will become a vital building within the campus for many years to come.
